My daughter Julia read it aloud to me; how easy it was to be drawn into the words and pictures! A snapshot into a tender moment, the storybook reveals the bond between mother and son that cannot be broken. Goosebumps broke out as I looked at the “forehead to forehead” illustration – how special a moment. Keys and Sponaugle capture that bond well.
The story line revolves around a quilt’s true meaning to a little boy, a quilt his mommy made him. It’s not just an everyday blanket to him; it’s so much more. I love this story and I enjoyed the illustrations just as much. Buy the book; if they have an imagination, your kids will love it.
